I really loved D. Cook in American Idol and love his music. I think this is a great disc for showcasing his style. And thank goodness they added the Bonus Track of Time of My Life!

5 out of 5 stars Professional even at his first album shows his next will be AMAZING   January 6, 2009

i preordered this album and i have had it since it came out and i completely love it when i heard the single light on i was a little skeptic and was worried that the rest of the album might only be as good as that (i didnt really care for the single light on it just didnt pertain to me) but the rest of the album was amazing and usually first albums, especially after american idol arent that great but this exceeds most and in only a few months so that tells you that if they put more time into the next one it will be tremondously better. i must say this album absolutly crushes david archuleta's (sorry for mispelling that:)) archuleta has very young and childesh lyrics and pain and going through a tough life is what makes a great singer and david seems to have everything fairly easy despiter his voice problem in his younger years and he is just too young but cook has a much better voice can cover more notes and has been through pain and is older thus wiser and that is why he is better and he writes most of his stuff even his pre idol album is amazing if you can get your hands on it.

5 out of 5 stars Totally AMAZING!!!!!!   January 6, 2009

You never know what to expect out of American Idol winners. Some have made albums that knocked my socks off e.g. Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, and Kelly Clarkson and then some not so much e.g. Ruben & Fantasia. David Cook blew me away with how great an album he created.

David Cook helped write the lyrics on nearly all (if not all) songs and his words really tear at my heart strings. He is emotionally vulnerable and honest and it really comes through in each song. He totally surpassed all my expectations, and to be honest, I expected his album to be good anyway. He outdid himself on every episode of American Idol and once again he outdid himself on his first album put out by 19 Entertainment.

Songs to check out: A Daily Anthem (+ the secret song on this track at 12:00 minutes "Kiss On The Neck"), Permanent, Life On The Moon (about his "spiritual" journey on American Idol) & Bar-Ba-Sol

Definitely buy this album. David Cook is Phenomenal!
