3 out of 5 stars Stick with Autobiography   July 2, 2008
3 out of 4 found this review helpful

I loved Autobiography (her first album), didn't like I Am Me (her second album) but bought Bittersweet World to complete the set. Eh, don't bother.
I still find myself listening to Autobiography more than the other two.
This album is kinda cliche, nothing special.

5 out of 5 stars Probably her BEST yet   June 30, 2008

I have been an Ashlee Simpson fan from the beginning, from her show on MTV to the SNL blunder. With "Bittersweet World" you can see how much she's grown, especially through her lyrics. Although the overall sound on this album is more pop-like than her previous albums, most of the songs are catchy and fun. My favorites include "Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)," "Rule Breaker," "Little Miss Obsessive," "Ragdoll," "Bittersweet World," and "Hot Stuff." The others are good, but don't stand out as much. Thanks Ashlee for making something fresh!

5 out of 5 stars Diverse   June 19, 2008

I love, love, love this CD. I own all 3 of Ashlee's CD's and this is, hands down, my favorite. It has such a diversity of genre's on it; from pop, pop/rock to dance and hip hop. The lyrics are good as well as the production (mainly by Timbaland). It covers a broad spectrum of musical tastes.

Standout tracks:

"Outta My Head"
"Boys"
"Ragdoll"
"Hot Stuff"
"Murder"
and my favorite; "Little Miss Obsessive"

There is not one song I skip over on this release. It is all fun and upbeat and sure to be a great addition to anyones collection!!

1 out of 5 stars Very Disapointed   June 17, 2008

This is not like any of Ashlee's first two CD's. She went from one end of the music spectrum to the other. I remember playing the CD and thinking "what is this"? Ashlee is one of my favorite artists, but this CD should not have been released..

I have all of Ashlee's cd's and can't fault one... In my opinion Ash is so far ahead of Jessica it's not funny... Greatest thing since sliced bread.. I LOVE ASHLEE.. Great voice and stage showes... Long live Ashlee....
