Terrible August 31, 2005 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sorry, this DVD blew. I have the original japenesse version of the film and it's killer. The voices are in japenesse, but at least Sonic and Knuckles sound tough as nails, and Eggman is much more real.
English version has been reamped for little kids, the dialog was changed, there were a few curse words in the japenesse version and sexual jokes, but it's been completly changed for little kids.
Sorry, I'll stick to my jap. subtitles for real bad a** Sonic action.

*can't think of good title* June 30, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the movie around the time it came out, but could only find it in VHS. I have never seen it in any other language then English. I thought it was a great movie, though I thought some things were off by alot. Tails and Sonic had good voices, that I thought fit the characters, but Knuckles voice didn't fit him at all and made him sound like he was catching a cold. Also, knuckles was never able to fly yet they show him floating/flying along after sonic and tails, he has only been able to glide and I think they shouldn't have given him the ability to "fly", though not all people notice that and I wouldn't expect younger kids to notice this either. I havn't seen the movies, or shows that I were told came before this, so they have probably used in earlier videos that sonic and tails could, what looks like, "teleport" when they are trying to show him running I think. It looks like he "zaps" himself to the loaction he wants to go. I thought they got Knuckles character good, except for the voice, it showed that he liked to hunt for treasure, that he can dig, has a weakness to girls, ext. The music was good, the overall story was good, and, I guess everything else was good. So I'd give it 4 stars and that if your a sonic fan, this movie is a great movie for you to buy!
Problem with my movie June 21, 2005 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
My friend Annajean and I where working on a Sonic Movie based on the two games: "Sonic Adventure 2 BATTLE", and "Sonic Heroes" and based on the two TV Series: "Sonic Underground", and "Sonic X". But I didn't know that there is a Sonic movie which is an hour. Annajean thought that we should name the movie "Sonic Heroes: The Movie" but I think that's not a good idea. I thought about "Sonic Adventure Heroes Underground BATTLE X" but I think it's more like a video game title. Can you help me?
Fun to watch! Esspecialy if your a Sonic fan May 7, 2005 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This single, relatively short 60 minute movie WITHOUT A DOUGHT tops the Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog, and the other old Sonic saturday cartoon. Any Sonic fan should watch this instead, (and probably the relatively new Sonic X anime as well). The only characters that people will recoginize are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik (no Amy or anyone like that), there are other "movie-specific" characters as well, though they don't add a whole lot to the story. Robotnik tells Sonic and Tails that his generator is going to blow sky high, and with it the entire planet, of course, they expect he's lieing, but what if he isn't? For the final battle Sonic ends up battling his robotic look-alike (kinda), Metal Sonic, which people may remember from the older video games. I like this movie because it reminds me of the video games, (lots of frantic action and jumping around). The animation style is a little weird here, but is okay for a change of pace. The english dubbing is just bad, but you should be able to get around that. I could have been a little longer, 60 minutes is barely feature length, but it's fun to watch as kind of a "quick flick". Great if you're a Sonic fan, but if you've never watched anime before I'm not sure what you'll think at first!
